Badge2Match was founded by two brothers who saw the opportunity of enhancing methods of networking at events and conferences in an effective and cost sensitive way.
Although with extensive working experience in different industries, Hugo and Onno Bos(and their teams)experienced the same issues while attending conferences, business meetings and fair trades. They both felt that many of these events lacked a practical method to effectively match demand and offer.
Hugo is past owner and Managing Director of one of the leading importer/wholesale companies in the European wooden flooring industry. As such Hugo has always been very keen on extracting the maximum return on Investment, his own as well as from his people. His main concern relating to fair trades and other commercial events is how people tend to interact. "Is my sales team meeting the right people?", "is that prospect really interested in my products?".
Onno has a background in the Telecoms Industry, where he held Senior Management Sales positions with amongst others BT and TeliaSonera. While attending conferences around the globe, he saw a need for a reliable, easy to use and cost efficient networking tool. During these conferences it struck Onno that many delegates simply wander about without knowing any of the other attendees and, more importantly, without knowing how to approach them.
It is these experiences, combined with a good business spirit, that brought Hugo and Onno to the challenge to create an effective networking tool. They decided to use the ordinary conference badge as their starting point to create an Interactive Badge to Match aligned interests.
